Andrew Lapping - Partner
Andrew was one of the founding Partners of Hamilton Portfolio Partnership and Hamilton Capital Partners. Andrew has extensive experience in property development and the construction and operation of hotels throughout the UK.
Utilising his many years’ experience in corporate finance and taxation, Andrew has been responsible for initiating and structuring many of the commercial property and private equity transactions which Hamilton Portfolio has invested in over the past 20 years. Andrew has also listed many investee companies on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM)
Prior to establishing Hamilton Portfolio in 1999, Andrew spent 12 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in corporate finance and tax. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Stephen Kelly - Partner
Qualified member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Stephen was a founding partner of Hamilton Kelly Investment Partnership as well as a founding partner of HCP.
Stephen has over 25 years’ experience in the commercial property market, having spent the early part of his professional career working with Erdman Lewis, Richard Ellis and Knight Frank within the agency and investment departments of their respective Glasgow offices. He was made a partner at Knight Frank before leaving to join AWG Property as head of the West of Scotland Office in 2000, eventually joining the Property Board in 2005. He is also a qualified surveyor.
Stephen was one of the driving forces behind AWG Property’s evolution from being a property developer into a multi-disciplined property company and was involved in several highly successful and significant property development and investment transactions during his time there. After leaving AWG property in 2008, Stephen joined forces with The Hamilton Portfolio to form Hamilton Kelly Investment Partnership (“HKIP”) to focus on identifying and acquiring mispriced and opportunistic commercial property investments throughout Scotland and the North of England.
John Dunn - Partner
Qualified member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. John is a partner of HKIP and joined in 2014 primarily to identify and secure new property opportunities and deliver asset management initiatives.
Having gained over 25 years’ commercial property experience, John started his career in the commercial agency departments of CBRE then specialised in agency/development at Hartley Cowley where he was a partner before joining AWG Property. John spent 13 years as a director of AWG Property and was involved in a number of significant development and investment transactions. John was on the Property Board of AWG and latterly was responsible for the strategy of the UK property portfolio.
Sarah-Jane Moffat - Partner/Compliance Officer
Sarah-Jane joined in 2009 from Campbell Dallas LLP. She is responsible for the overall finance function of Hamilton Group and syndicate companies. Sarah-Jane has gained considerable experience working in practice and has been ACCA qualified for 8 years.
Alan Smith ACCA
Alan joined HCP in 2015 as the Financial Accountant. He is responsible for the day to day finance function of all related syndicate companies. Alan began his training in a mid-tier accountancy firm, gaining 10 years’ experience in practice before joining HCP.
